RAILWAY SERVANTS.
PRESIDENT RE-ELECTED,
[by telegraph.— press association.] WELLINGTON, Sunday.
A national ballot under the preferential system has been conducted by the Amal. gamated Society of Railway Servants for the election of a president, to hold office during the next two years.
The candidates were:—Messrs. J„ Churchhouse, retiring president, Carterton; M. Connelly, former president, Dunedin; E. J Dash, Timaru; J. Elliott, Newmarket; A. J. Morison, Hillside, and E. Schofield, Christchurch. Mr. Churchhouse was elected.-by a majority of 653 votes.
