On going to s<!o what was the matter he was groeted by a joyous bark, and a dog jumped up at him with evei'y sign of delight. It was Jack. On communicating with the farmer be discovered that tho dog had left home a fortnight before. " Apparently he has made several attempts to find you," wrote- tho farmer, " for he has been missing on several occasions for periods up to a week." Jack is to remain at his old home. Mr. Snow has bought him back.
