TAILOR SENT FOR TRIAL.
ALLEGED THEFT.
Arrested at 5.30 in the morning, while he was lying on a couch at his parents home at Molesley, Federick Carrington .Lock, described as a tailor, was chaiged at Kingston, a few weeks ago with breaking into Little Barn, Walton-on-Thames, the residence ot Mrs. Agatha Wynnej. Brown, and stealing two gold watches valued at £ls, and £6 10s in notes Mrs. Wynne-Brown gave evidence that she heard a noise in her house as of a. casement, window of a bedroom being banged. On going upstairs she saw the head and shoulders of a man disappearing at a window. The .man caught hold of a piece of piping, and jumped a considerable distance on to the lawn and €SCB))C(I* A constable stated that after lie had been informed of the robbery he stopped Lock near the river bank. He caught hold of tli3 man by the arm, but when asked for his name, he ran away, lhrecquarters of an hour later he saw the man again/ and stopped him. However, he bolted'once more, although he fell over a piece pf wire. Lock, who pleaded not guilty, was committed for trial.
