GOOD SHOW PROSPECTS. RETURNED SOLDIERS' YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 ROTORUA. Friday. Tho Rotorua Agricultural and Pastoral x\ssociation met last evening, Mr. N. M. Keano presiding. The date of the annual winter show was fixed for June 18 and tho two following days. It was stated that the prospects of an excellent show this year were very promising. Tho annual meeting of the Rotorua branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association was held last evening, Mr. 11. G. Gribblc presiding. The secretary, Rev. J. W. Burley, read tho annual report, which stated that the year started with 18 financial members and closed with 51. The balance for the year was £9l, as against £42 last year. Work to the value of £SO had been found for unemployed men, in addition to several men being found work of a more permanent nature. Ihe profit from the sale of poppies amounted to £35. The election of officers resulted President. Mr. W. A. McLean; vice-president, Mr. H. L. Martin; lion, secretary, Mr. It. 11. Reid; auditor. Mr. L. C. Ryan; committee, Messrs. G. L. Knight, W. I. C. Sumner, F. While, H. CI. Cribble, Danscy, W. Slater, .J. S- Black, I'. Munro, F. W. Powell and J. Brownlie. Arrangements wore made for the observance of Anzac Day.
