AERIAL THRILLS.

THE PAGEANT PROGRAMME. DESCENT BY PARACHUTE. The Auckland Aero Club is anxious to introduce every possible aerial exploit into the pageant which will bo held next Saturday, and a parachute descent from 3000 ft. lias been added io the programme. In addition a trapezo performance will bo given at a low altitude. An aeroplane is to be equipped with a trapezo on tho Undercarriage, and at a height of about 100 ft. various balancing foals will bo performed while tho machine circles at 80 miles an hour. A trapeze bar will also bo attached to the parachute, and after dropping from tho aeroplane tl.o performer will "stunt" at giddy heights. The aerial Derby will be held in the morning, and entries promise to ho so numerous that two heats will be run. It was reported from Christchurch yesterday that weather conditions do not yet favou-- a start by Major G. A. 0. Cowper and Mr. Spencer Mason on the one-day flight to Auckland.
