AUCKLAND BOY'S MISHAP.
CYCLE STRUCK BY CAR.

A cyclist, Arthur Wootten, aged 15 years, of 19, Gorrie Avenue, Auckland, sustained injuries to his head through coming into collision with a motor-car at the post office corner, Pukekohe, this morning. The boy was proceeding to Ramarama to visit relatives, and the car, which was driven by Mr, F. J. Padrington, of Frankton Junction, .was travelling to Auckland, when tho two met at the corner. Tho car had nearly come to a standstill when it struck the cycle. The impact, however, was sufficient to throw the boy on to the roadway. The boy %vas given medical attention and was later conveyed by ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. He was reported last evening to be making satisfactory progress.
