MAN TRAPPED IN A LIFT.
SYDNEY, Feb. i. The mechanism of a lift failed between two floors at Mcllraith's premises in Sydney at midday on Saturday, and an elderly employee, Charles Cruickshanks, was trapped in it and could not move it. Some of his relatives found him on Sunday after he had been imprisoned for 26 hours.
