ASCENT OF MOUNT COOK.
WOMAN REACHES SUMMIT.

Mount Cook was climbed on two successive days last week. Miss Margery Edgar-Jones, of Timaru, with two guides mado tho ascent in 20 hours under adverse climbing conditions. Mr. A. Jackson, of Wellington College., accompanied by two other guides made the ascent in 14,] hours under good conditions.
