activities of the year. The Auckland Society of Musicians has been in existence for 26 years, and from a very small beginning has now 98 professional and 104 associate members. The report to he presented at the annual meeting this evening states the Musicians' Uegistrat:.on Act will be brought into effect early in 1929. A conference will be held m Wellington in January to discuss business matters in connection with tho registration, arid delegates from all tho Zealand musical societies will attend. Tho council has opened a scholarship fund, and a concert held on September 25 realised £4O for it. The bal-ance-sheet, shows a credit balanco of £l4l.
