LIPPIATT'S ROSES. With a magnificent exhibit of 5000 blooms, Mr. W. E. Lippiatt, t.hn wellknown rose grower, of Otuhuhti, verily surpassed himself at the Auckland A and l'. Show. Most of the bettor-known, and not a few new varieties, commanded the admiration of connoisseurs, ;ind orders were hooked freely throughout the day. In their infinite variety and ease of culture, roses make an especial appeal to the suburban garden-lover, who eagei ly takes advantage of the opportunity to securo some plants of show value and proved quality. The day when the average householder was content to secure a " rutting " of anything that appealed to him is past, and the moans of gratifying a desire for something above the average is easily afforded at Mr. Lippiatt,'s tentdisplay, which is situated next to the grandstand.
