INTOXICATED MOTORIST.
FINE OF £ls IMPOSED. NAME NOT SUPPRESSED. [ill' TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Thursday. A fine of £ls was imposed to-day on Andrew Anderson, an insurance agent, who was charged with boing intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. Tho justices intimated that they would also cancel his driving license for 12 months unless Anderson took out a prohibition order. This ho consented to do. Suppression of his name was refused, the justices saying that motorists who indulged in drink were a menace not only to themselves but to everybody else. The publication of offenders' names was part of tho penalty they must pay.
