LIQUOR TRADE ASSAILED. Australian and N.Z Presß Association TORONTO. Oct 10. Mrs Flora Haskett addressed a meeting of the provincial council of the Women's Christian Temperance Union at Toronto. She alleged liquor interests had bribed IJomts of Justice and the Gov ernment, Thb sooner the Government's stores were bankrupt tho quicker would tho Government bo successful. Tho liquor interests were growing so woalthv, said the speaker, that they could buy officers and even control Governments The council would pray for tho success of Mr. Herbert Hoover in tho Presidential election iti the United States.
