J was very pleased to read in the Herald the two letters written by "Mercury" and A. D. Hamilton, defending tho Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, in the cause lie has t-aken up. fighting the evils which demoralise the youth of, not only the city of Auckland, but tlie whole world. Ho has indeed the spirit of Daniel, and dares to make known his purpose, against great odds, in putting down the things which are abominations in tlie sight of his Lord and Master.
