TELEPHONE DISLOCATION.
ALLEGED DELAY IN REPAIRS. PROTEST AT HAMILTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT, |J HAMILTON, Wednesday. Indignation was expressed at a meeting of the Central Electric-Power Board to-day at the delay experienced iu reestablishing communication when telephone wires became out of order. It was stated that as this usually happened during stormy weather, when the power lines were down, farmers who depended .upon the board's supply for milking their herds were inconvenienced. Very often a line which came down on Friday was not repaired until the following Monday afternoon. A resolution was passed drawing the attention of the telegraph engineer to the delay in repairing the telephone/ service during times of electrical emergency.
