SANDERS CUP CONTEST.
CHALLENGE BY OTAGO.
[nv TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] DUNEDIN, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Otugo Yacht and Motor-Boat Association to-night, it was decided to issue a challenge for the Sanders Cup. Some discussion took pluco regarding the Cornwell Cup dontest. The unsatisfactory conclusion of the last contest was referred to, and the association decided to take no part in a Cornwell Cup contest conducted by the Takupuna Boating Club. The president of tho association said the Sanders Cup contest was the premier event of tho year, and ho thought it the duty of tho association to support it and help to keep it always before the public. It was decided to sail three or more trial races ior tho purposo of selecting Otago's challenger for tho cup.
