REPLACING PUBLIC HALL. BOWLING CLUB FORMED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COItItESPONDENT. 1 KEREPEEHI, Wednesday. Included in the losses sustained by tlie recent burning of the Kerepeelii Hall was the regalia and furniture of the local Oddfellows' Lodge, Plunket Society, appliances valued at £2O, and a valuable collection of bazaar stock belonging to the Anglican Ladies' Guild. Another hall will shortly bo erected by the owner of the destroyed building. At a meeting convened by Mr. R. Canit was decided to form a Hauraki Plains Bowling Club. It was agreed that Kerepeelii was well situated as the headquarters for such a purpose, owing to the good prospect of securing tho right kind of ground. A committee consisting of Messrs. J. McLaren (chairman), R. Carr, J. M. Thompson, P. Pearson, J. Murdock, Clifford D. Shilton and J. Smith (secretary), was appointed to further the project. Tho movement among tho settlers of the Kerepeelii district to form a Cooperative Dairy Company and build a cheese factory is gaining impetus. The promoters have been promised about 1000 cows. They have made inquiries concerning a factory site and arc now investigating the financing of the concern.
