SYDNEY RIFLE MEETING.

SEVERAL MATCHES DECIDED. (Received October 10, 0.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 10. Tho following wero tho results of yesterday's shooting at tho Anzac ran go rifle meeting:— Jamieson Match, 800 yards.—Poyilt (Sydney) and Hutchins (Yorkshire), with a possiblo shared first place; Mclver (Petone) and Vennell (Masterton) were 16th and 50th respectively, with 48 each, and took £l.

Johnnie Walker Match, 900 yards.— Three competitors, James, Cameron and Suttor (all of Now South Wales), tied with 49 each for first place; Vennell was 86th and Mclver 90th, with 44 each, and took £l. Motton Match. 400 yards.—Four competitors tied with 49 each, the best being Davies (Victoria) and Natt (South Australia). No New Zealandcrs were in the prize list. Tho Longfield aggregato was won by James (I'arramatta) with 276 out of a possible 300. King's Prize, —First -stage, 500, 500 and 600 yards: A moderate to gusty right front wind caught many experienced shots napping. Tho scores will be announced later. In tho Longfield aggregate, which was for six matches on Monday and Tuesday, Vennell was 14th with a scoro of 269, taking £4. Dodd's aggregate for three matches on Tuesday (won by Major James of Concord) was 141.' Mclver was 20th with 136, Vennell 51st, with 133.
