WHANGAREI ASSOCIATION. [|)Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.,] WHANGAREI, Wednesday. Thero was a largu attendance at a meetin;; of tho Whangaroi Cricket Association lust evening. The dato for tho opening of competition games was fixed as October '27. The nomination of tho Nomads Club was accepted. Mr. Dunn reported upon an interview with Mr. E. Slallworlhy, secretary of the Auckland Suburban Association, in which ATr. Stallworthy stilted his association would bo pleased to send its coach. Mr. George Cox, of Sussex, to Whangarei for a weekend. Mr. E. L. Whimp wifs added to tho grounds committee, and Messrs. A, Drover, R. Miller and E. Aim were appointed to confer with the Bugby Union regarding use of tho new field at tho High School grounds. The president presented a gold poncil to tho past secretary.
