MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. Tnc Maungakiekie Golf Chit's annual open amateur tournament will take place on Octohc 20. 22 and 23. on the Titirangi links. The usual programme lias been followed nnd provides for six events, as follows:—Open amateur medal championship, 30 holer; Titirangi Cup, with qualifying round of 3(5 holes; Titirangi group handicap, for nil competitors who do not qualify in the Titirangi Cup; medal handicap on Saturday afternoon; bogey handicap on Monday morning: medal handicap on Monday afternoon; bogey handicap on Tuesday morning; four-ball bogey handicap on Tuesday afternoon. It is anticipated the new course will bo used for the first time for this tournament, and members and visitors aro therefore assured of really excellent playing conditions, as although the new course is not fully completed, all but two greens liayo been finished, and most of tho bunkering has been done Entries fo- the tournament close on "Wednesday next at 5 p.m. W A ITEM ATA CLUB.
