BAD WEATHER AT HAMILTON.
ELLIS CUP FINAL TO-DAY.

The final round of tho Ellis Cup competition in connection with tlio Hamilton Ladies' Golf Club tournament could not be played to-day owing to the unfavourable weather. Heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, foil all day. Tho finalists, Miss O. Kay (Dunedin) and Miss S. Acheson (Nelson), will meet to-morrow morning if the weather permits. A number of competitors braved the elements this morning and toolc part in a foursomes medal handicap. Jho best score returned was that of Mrs. Rico and Miss Oliver, 79 net. Miss Buddie and Miss Henderson were 84, and Mrs. Haycock and Mrs. Rob, 84.
Prizes for the various competitions held by tho club during tho tournament were presented as follows-First medal handicap, senior: Miss J. Masters (Hamilton); junior, Miss J Easton (Auckland). First bogey handicap, senior: Miss Wallace (To Awamutu); junior, Mrs. Chamberlain (To Awamutu). Second medal handicap, senior: Mrs. Dickey (Waharoa) ; junior, Miss McLean (Hamilton). Second bogey handicap, senior: Mrs. Buttlo (Auckland); junior, Mrs. G. Primroso (Hamilton). Foursomes medal handicap: Mrs. Sleo (Westport) and Miss K. Oliver (Hamilton). Putting competitions: Monday, Miss Brewster (Now Plymouth) and Miss Scott (Palmerston North) ; Tuesday, Mrs. Goldwater (Auckland). Best gross score: Miss Chrystall (Christchurch).
