BRIDGE EVENING. Miss Cecille Qhitty entertained a number of her friends to bridge on Monday evening in the card room of the Lyceum Club. Slipper was served midway during tho evening, and at tho conclusion of play the prizes went, to Miss Ailsa Wilson and Miss Nancy Taylor. Mrs. Chitty wore a frock oi soft leaf-green georgette and ecru lace and Miss C. Chitty wore green shot taffeta and georgette. Among those present were Miss D. Wilson, Mrs. L. Nicholls. Miss R. Vickery, Miss E. Ward. Miss K. Wilson, Miss B. Vickery, Miss E. Guy, Miss N. Jackson, Miss T. Monckton, Miss N. Valder, Miss A. Gilfillan, Miss M. Ross, Miss M. Clayton-Greene, Miss B. Manning, Miss J. Banks, Miss A. Wilson, Miss N. Taylor, Miss F. Peacockc, Miss I. Hawkins. Dramatic Circle Open Evening. On Tuesday night the Dramatic Reading Circle of the Lyceum Club held then open evening. There was a good attendance of members and the evening was very enjoyablo. Three one-act plays were read. "Tho Camberley Iriangle, by A. A. Milnt, .in which the parts were taken by Mrs. 0. Smith, Mrs. Campbell and Miss F. Jolly; "Square Pegs." a satire by Clifford Bax, the parts taken by Miss E. Bowie and Miss L. Nicholls. and "Five Birds in a Cage," a comedy by Gertrude Jennings, in which the parts were road by Mrs. F. Bullock. Mrs. Staples, Miss Madeley, Miss fx Eggleston and Miss M. Hodgson. Two songs sung by Miss M. Rimmer and a duft sung bv Miss E. Bowie and Miss White formed pleasant interludes between the plays. Supper was served at the end of the evening. Ihe convener ot the circle, Miss Wyatt, spoke a few words introducing and explaining the plays. Those present were Mesdnmes lloulden, Reynolds. Scale, Brewer, Page, Ashton, Marlowe, Watt, Hooker, 0.
