WELCOME TO LADY MYERS.

A morning toa to welcome Lady Myers and Miss Myers back to Auckland was given yesterday morning by the committee of the Myers Kindergarten. The room at the school was bright with spring flowers, and during the morning much interest was shown in the children, who were seen at work and at play. Mrs. C. E. Maguire presented the guest of honour with a bouquet of carnations, and in a brief spoech of welcome said how pleased they were to sec Lady Myers back in Auckland. Tho committee was trying to carry on the work which tho late Sir Arthur Myers had started, and sho thought that what was being done now would help to do away eventually with the children's Courts. Lady Myers, in replying, thanked all very sincerely for their welcome to her and her daughter, and expressed great pleasure at tho good work that was being done for the children. Opportunity was also taken to welcome Miss Murray on hor first appearance as a life member of tho Myers Kindergarten conimittco Tho ladies on tho committeo who woro hostesses wore:—Mrs. G. F. Maguire, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. S. Sellers, Mrs. John Fuller, Mrs. Trevithick, Mrs. Herman, Mrs. Kay Stratton, Mrs. Brinsden, Mrs. G. Dransfiold, Mrs. S. Drannficld, Mrs. Towsley, Miss Murray, Mr.<i. Coldicutt, Mrs. Abbott and Mrs. Kirkcr. Miss Newman, principal of tho kindergarten, Miss Ward, director, and Mrs Peacock, president of the Wellington kindergartens, were also present.
