Referring to F. White, charged with failing to attend drill. Captain .1. G. (J. ,Wales, representing the Uelence Department, said the boy would not go near drill. Ho entertained a grievance, because ho was not posted to an artillery unit. [Defendant having been fined before for the same offence the magistrate imposed fine oi £.5, with costs. Fines of £2, with costs, were imposed on H. Baldwin arid 11. J. V. Neilson, also charged with failing to attend drill, while F. Coleman was fined £l, with costs. .Less serious views of the offences of 15. •f. McKean and G. A. Putland were taken oy the Defenct Department, and both were ordered to pav costs. 15. V.
