hospital auxiliary depot. The monthly report of the Depot Committee of the Hospital Auxiliary was held -at the Hospital Board room on Friday, the convener Mrs. Arthur Wakeham, presiding. There was present a very Rood attendance. Reports were received from the sub-cqmmittees. The Transport Committee reported having called and delivered numerous parcels of clothing and foodstuffs for the depot in the various suburbs. Parcels of clothing and donations were received from the tollowing branches: —Henderson, Bavswater, Belmont and To Atatu Women s Institute, Y.W.C.A., Mount Eden and City hewing Circles. All garments supplied by the branches were excellent, with a good assortment of clothing for men, women and children, for which the Depot Committee was very grateful. , n The depot assistant reported that the month of September was a busy one, and (hat relief and foodstuffs were given to 112 needy cases, 677 garments were supplied to applicants, 24 slippers and 37 garments to the wards. The Visiting Con -, mitteo by their helpful kindness at all times and by distributing foodstuffs, papers and books through the wards are the means of bringing the work of the Hospital Auxiliary under tlio notice of the many needly cases therein. Votes of thanks were passed to the \ ictoria and Navy Leagues for donations received, to Messrs. Hart Bros., Ltd., for two cases of children's toys and a bundle of walking sticks, to Mrs. Garbck and an anonvmous donor for pots of ]air and to the ceneral public for contributions received. Clothes of all doscripHons arc still urgently required and will be gladl} accepted at the depot.
