CONFERENCE IN CANADA. IMPORTANT DISCUSSIONS. Valuable exchanges of opinions on matters affecting markets and migration were the most important features of the Empire Parliamentary Conference id Canada, according to Sir William Crlasgow, Australian Minister of Defence. Sir William, who headed the Australian delegation, is returning to Australia by tho Niagara, and he is accompanied by Mr. D. S. Jackson, member of the Federal House of Representatives for Bass, Tasmania, and Mr. G. H. MacKay, member for Gvmpie, Queensland. The Australian party did not complete the tour, returning to the Commonwealth to prepare for the approaching elections. Sir William Glasgow isaid the delegates from all parts of tho Empire travelled widely in Canada. All the delegates were impressed with tho Dominion's wonderful resources and opportunities for development. The peoplo seemed to be showing great enterprise and the country was passing through prosperous times. " Canada is also developing her tourist traffic wisely," said Sir William. "Tourists from the United States swarm into Quebec and Ontario, and they find there good roads, splendid transport, and excellent hotels." Sir William said tho New Zealand delegates to the conference were expected to arrive in Wellington by the Makura from San Francisco shortly; They were able to remain a few days longer and complcto tho tour.
