LONDON DANCES.
NEW ONES FOR WINTER. JAZZ STILL PREVAILS. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON. Oct. 5. London's winter dances, it is officially stated, will bo little different from those of last year. They will largely be the quick-step* the Charleston and the slow foxtrot. Tho jazz spirit still prevails, but it is not ns all-conquering as it was a year ago. Thcro are signs that the pendulum will swinrr back toward romanticism. Among tho new dances is tho "Twist" (which greatly pleased the Prime Minister arid Mrs. Baldwin when its was demonstrated to them at Aix-les-Bains), (lie Polka, tho "1929 Varsity drag" and tho "Tilc-trol."
