LAKE ARAPUNI FISHING.
QUESTION OF TROLLING. REQUEST MADE FOR TRIAL. [BY* TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA, Sunday. Lengthy aud animated discussion took place at a special meeting of tlio Matamata branch of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society, held on Friday evening, on tho question of trolling in Lake Arapuni. Finally the president, Mr. W. W. Livingstone. proposed that the parent body be asked to permit trolling, from rowboats only, for three months, in order to gain experience of the effect of trolling in the lake. This proposal was carried by 7 votes to 5.
