THEFT OF SLIPPERS.
A LABOURER CONVICTED. A pica of guilty was enteral by Philip Stephen Vorcoe, labourer, whon he was charged in the Police Court on Saturday morning with the, theft of a pair of slippers, valued at bs lid, from the Iv. K. Footwear Company, Newmarket. lie was also charged with'stealing a mug, valued at Is 3d, Iho properly of Colin Angel. On behalf of accused Mr. Allan Moody said that ho had never been in trouble before, :ind (ho offences were committed while ho was under the influence of liquor. Accused was convicted and remanded for sentence until Thursday.
