DIXIELAND CABARET.

Brightly-coloured lanterns and decorations made the hall at Dixieland a gay background for the dancers on Saturday. A large number of guests enjoyed dancing to the music played by the Dixieland Band under the leadership of Harry Noilson, which featured the latest dance

Among those present were: Miss R. Buckley, who wore a dress of black satin and tulle, with diamante girdle; Miss N. Ogicr black satin trimmed with silver lace, rose at (boulder; Miss S. Robinson, gold laco over shell pink; Miss M. Brownlee, gold lamu'and green georgette; Miss c.oddard, silver laco overbodice, and pale bine georgette; Miss D. Ross, turquoise blue ring velvet; Miss G. Jenkinson, coral pink beaded georgette, J lower at shoulder; Miss Conine Law son, sea bluo satin, pink and blue frilled skirt; Miss Una Bowcu, cherry ring velvet and georgette, with uneven hem, and liower at shoulder; Miss Audrey Munro, green shot taffeta, with large French bow; Miss Bisscl, cyclamen georgette, hand-em-broidered with flowers; Miss Stokes, beige georgette trimmed with gold lace, liower at shoulder. Mrs. Wood all wore fuchsia taffeta, with French bow; Miss Woodall, shell pink georgette, with aeeoi'deon-ploaleri skirt in peaked flounces; Miss Keen, beige crepe de, chine, gold lace hem and trimming; Miss Wall is' peach georgette, with panelled skirt; Miss Johnson, lavender georgette trimmed with diamante; Miss Kcary, coral embossed georgette and velvet, with peaked skirt and diamante girdle; Mrs. Goddcn, black Jaco over black and flower at'shoulder; Miss Fleming, powder bluo beaded georgette; Miss K. Christie, apple green georgette trimmed with .sequins, red Spanish shawl; Mrs. Finlav, black georgette, with bl;ick and gold net skirt with uneven hem; Miss White, black taffeta. with appliqued (lowers on skirt. Miss J. Boyes was m black _ taffeia. with flowers embroidered on skirt, and red flower at shoulder; Miss (.'live, fuchsia taffeta with tulle, bow and ankle-length skirt,; Miss M. Flavell, coral pink taffeta, with bands of gold net, on • scalloped skirt; Miss Can (Dnrgavillo). floral ninon, white embroidered Spanish shawl: Mrs. A. J Lam her (Ohristehurch), mist, blue georgette and silver flowers skirt and at, shoulder; Miss M. Reeves (Kawan Island), shell pink georgette, with peaked skirt; Miss Jury, black georgette; Miss B.
