THE SINS OF AUCKLAND.

Sir,—Permit my briefly expressing hearty support of "Commercial Traveller's" point of view. The isalvation Army makes few mistakes. Its methods are and have always been "out of the ordinary. Like the noble and self-sacrificing founder of the now world-wide organisation, the present leaders believe that men and women of the world, especially those in the cities, need unusual and even startling methods of appeal to rouse them and cause them to think for a little of higher things than money-getting, pleasure and sinful sensual indulgence.
