DEPARTING MINISTER.
FAREWELLS AT NORTHGOTE. Presentations were made to the Rev. S. L. Boot, on behalf of the congregation of tbo Northcote Presbyterian Church, at a largely-attended meeting in the church hall last evening. Mr. Boot, who has been stationed at Northcoto for seven years, has accepted a call to Balranald, New South Wales Among the speakers were Mr. A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, tho Revs. W. Gilmore, M. Richards, J. P. Wainwright, and T. Halliday, Mr. H. H. Broady,. clerk of session, and Miss Tremain. on behalf of the Sunday school and women's organisations. Gifts to Mrs. Boot were made on behalf of the Sunday school and Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union, and to Master Jack Boot from the Sunday school A farewell gathering, organised by the Northcoto Women's Progressive League, in honour of Mrs. Boot, the league's delegate to the National Council of Women, was held yesterday afternoon. Owing to illness Mrs. Boot was unable to attend, and a presentation to her from the league was received by Mr. Boot. Among those present were Mrs. A. P. Campbell, Mayoress of Auckland, and Mrs. A. E. Greenslade, Mayoress of Northcote.
