NEW SETTLERS ARRIVE.
IMMIGRANTS FROM BRITAIN. VARIOUS TRADES REPRESENTED. A total of 63 nominated immigrants, excluding 17 English schoolboys, arrived from England by the Slniw-Savill Company's liner Tainui yesterday. Ihey included 16 domestic servants, who have positions assured them in the Dominion. Following are details of the numbers and destinations of the immigrants:— ChilMen. Women, dreu. Totals . . 7 42 14 63 The new settlers enjoyed a very pleasant voyage. The Tainui left Southampton on April 27, arriving at Colon on May 13. After a stay of six hours tho journey to Auckland was continued. Various trades and professions are represented among tho new settlers. Those sjoirig to places south of Auckland left by train last evening.
