MANGERE EAST SCHOOL.
GRANT FOR ADDITIONS. GROWING DISTRICT'S NEEDS. A grant for remodelling and making additions to the Mangere East school has been approved by Cabinet, according to advice received by Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P. Mangere East was originally a side school conducted in conjunction with the Otahuhu public school, but the rapid increase in population in the district necessitated raising its status to that of a separate organisation. Since then further additions as now approved have become essential.
