NOTES FROM WAIHI.
BRANCH OF FARMERS' UNION. FORMATION DECIDED UPON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. | WAIHI, Sunday. At a largely-attended meeting of settlers on Friday evening it was decided to form a Waihi branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union. Mr. A. H. Blackmore was appointed president, subject to confirmation at a later meeting, and Mr. 0. Bj erring was appointed secretary. Other officers will be elected when the establishment of the branch has been approved. Steps are being taken to reform a branch of the Workers' Educational Association in Waihi.
