UNLICENSED COMPANIES.
FINES IMPOSED IN COURT. Under the Stamp Duties Act, 1923, sixcompanies were prosecuted in the Police Court yesterday for carrying on business without licences. The Australasian Trade Expansion Company, Ltd., the Auckland Bell Bus Company, Ltd., Collectors, Ltd., and the Kamo Collieries, Ltd., were each fined 10s, while the T. Deane Construction Company, Ltd., and the First British Empire Films (N.Z.), Ltd., were fined £1 each.
