WATER IN MILK.
DAIRY FARMER FINED. Stating that there appeared to be little, to be said in favour of defendant, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, fined Walter Tait, dairy farmer, of Rosedale Road, Avondale, £7 10s for selling milk with added water. Evidence was given by an inspector for the Health Department that Tait's milk had contained water. This was admitted by defendant, whose counsel said there had been a fault in Tait's cooler.
