Considering the hard head winds the birds had to contend with it wns a very good race. Results are as follows;—R. Patterson's Arrow Boy, 982vds; D. Wilson's Star Arch, 979.9yd5: D. Andrews' Silvercliff, 978.9yd5; J. LangwelPs Shrew, 978.2yd5; J. Whittaker's To Moanui, 977.3yd5; T. Williams' Starl&nd, 943.2yd5.
