STREET ACCIDENTS.
INJURIES TO PEDESTRIANS.
MAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION.
While running to board a tramcar in Queen Street last evening Mr. Reed, of 6, Brown Street, Avondale, slipped, and one wheel of the tram crushed the toes of his right foot. Mr. Reed was taken to tho hospital, where an examination showed that his injuries were not seirious. A fracture of the ankle was sustained by Mervyn Higgins, aged 17, through being knocked down by a motor-car at the intersection of Manukau Road and Ranfurly Road, Epsom, yesterday afternoon. The injured boy, who lives in Manukau Road, was later admitted to the hospital. Mr. Edward Campion, who was struck by a motor-car in Ponsonby Road on Monday and sustained severe head injuries, is stated by itho hospital authorities to be in a very serious condition. Mr. Campton, who is 7!2 years of age, resides at 16, Wilton Street, Grey Lynn.
