THIRD DAY'S EVENTS.

GOOD LIST OF ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances fell due yesterday for events to be run on the third day of the Auckland Racing Club's Summer Meeting, which takes place next Monday, and they are all round of so very satisfactory a character as to ensure a high-class day's sport. The A.R.C. Handicap has drawn an acceptance of 11, and tho pleasing feature in connection with tho milo and a-half race is that the trio—Count Cavour, Rapier, and Sfnr Stranger—who figuro as the topweight division, have been paid up for, and it goes without saying that a very keen interest will be centred in the respective performances they will register. The Great Northern Derby is also set down for decision next Monday, and, of the 16 horses that figured in tho race at the date of tho final payment, 13 are still engaged. THE ACCEPTANCES.
