Tho Government made a surprising move l>y tabling a guillotine motion on the Unemployment Bill, allocating three days for tho remainder of tho Committee staue. Mr. ,T. Shaw, member for Preston, on behalf of Labour, tabled an amendment declining to assent to the limitation of the debate on the bill, which will deprive thousands of their insurance benefits. The House is still discussing the fifth clause out of fourteen, although six days have already been spent in Committee.
