YESTERDAY'S WEDDINGS.

The wedding was solemnised in St. Barnabas Church, Mount Eden, yesterday afternoon pi Miss Ella Bletcher, Mount Eden, to Mr. J. Buchanan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan, of Auckland. The Rev. E. E. Bamford performed the ceremony. The bride who was given away by Mr. Chapman, wore a frock- of beige georgette trimmed with embroidered lace. Her crinoline straw hat was trimmed with ribbons to tone, and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers with touches of yellow. The bridesmaid, Miss Bonnie Bodger, wore a bois de rose crepe de chine frock with an accordeon-pleated skirt, and a crinoline straw hat to match. She carried a bouquet of rose sweet peas. Somervell Church, Remuera, was the scene of a popular wedding yesterday afternoon, when Miss Irene Adam 3, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adams, of Ascott Avenue. Remuera, was married to Mr. Thomas Jensen, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Jensen, of Albany Road, Herne Bay. The Rev. Pattison officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory embossed georgette. Her long veil of embroidered tulle was finished with a high coronet, and she carried a bouquet of white roses. The four bridesmaids were Miss Marie Jones, Miss Mavis Wright, Miss Nona Wright and Miss Lesley Bell. They were all dressed alike, wearing Early Victorian frocks; of blush rose taffeta with long scalloped skirts. Theii wide-brimmad hats were of rose crinoline straw trimmed with velvet ribbons to tone, and they carried dainty baskets of delicately tinted roses. Mr. Arthur Jensen attended the bridegroom as best man. and Mr. Ralph Exton as groomsman. The marriage of Miss Edith May Shepherd, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Hudson Shepherd, of Buenos Aires, to Mr. Reginald Thomas Carter, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Carter, of Remuera, took place in the Baptist Tabernacle yesterday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by the Eiev. J Kemp. The bride, who was given away by Mr. F. Carter, wore a frock of white georgette with a fringe of georgette round the skirt. A diamante buckle at the waist, from which was draped a spray of orange blossom, completed the frock. Her veil of tulle and lace was caught round the head with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Faith Green, itnd the flower girl, Miss Joy Brown, wore frocks of powder blue crepe de chine, the former wearing a crinoline straw hat to match her frock and the latter a Grecian of gold and blue ribbons. They carried bouquets of delphiniums and rot>es. Mr. P Munro acted as best man. The marriage was celebrated hi St. Patrick's Cathedral yesterday morning, of Miss Winnifred O'Connell, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. O'Connell, of Islington Street, Herne Bay, to Mr. James O'Connor, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. O'Connor, of Hastings. The Rev. Dr. Buxton officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. J. 'Connell, wore a frock of silver lame with a posy of orange blossom at the waist. Her tulle veil, which formed a train, was finished with a silver coronet and a string of pearls which fell from the coronet over one shoulder. She carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies and roses. Miss Lily O'Connell acted as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of cherry georgette with a large shoulder posy. She wore a hat to tone and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers. Miss Norma O'Connell and Miss Marv McGill acted as flower girls, wear ing frocks of opal blue and japonica pink crepe de chine respectively, finely bos pleated. Both wore hats to tone and carried bouquets of pink and biu«j sweet peas. Mr. H. Hefferon carried sot the duties of best man.

A pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, last evening, when Miss Ethel Gill, fourth daughter of Mrs. Gill and the late Mr. T. R. Gill, of Lochiel Road, Remuera, was married to Mr. Reginald John Bartle, of Auckland. Canon Mason performed the cereihony. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. J. Gill, wore a pretty ; frock of shell pink georgette with an imeven hem line edged with deep silver kiC<.. Her veil of Honiton lace and pink georgette was daintily embroidered with orange blossom ana silver flowers and was caught round the head with a capette of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of pale piftk and white flowers. Miss Edna Gill, sister of the bride, acted as 'bridesmaid, wearing . a praline pink georgette .frock trimmed with lace and small pink and blue roses Her head-dress was of pink tnlle caught at the side with a rose, and she carried a sheaf of pink sweet peas and maiden-hair fern. Miss Joan Hartland made a dainty little trainbearer, wearing a frock of pastel blue taffeta trimmed ,with pink and silver posies, and a head-dress of pink and silver. She carried a little wrist bouquet of apricotcoloured flowers.:
