SITE FOR VICTORIA CLUB. A permanent site at the foot of New Street, Ponsonby, having been offered to the Victoria Cruising Club by the Auckland Harbour Board, the club approached the City Council last evenilrg applying for a right-of-way when the transfer from the present site in Beaumont Street is made in November.
The city engine-. Mr. W. E. Bush, pointed out the council's consent would require to be given for the erection of a clubhouse in New Street, as it would interfere with the rights of the council and the public to the sea. The matter was referred to the "Works Committee.
