ASSOCIATION GAME.

COMPETITIONS TO-MORROW. NAVY.PLAYS NORTH SHORE. SCHOOLBOYS' TEST MATCH. Only two games are set down for decision to-morrow in the senior championship of the Auckland Football Association, and both promise to provide interesting displays. The chief attraction wilt be the match between North Shoro and Navy, to be played at Devonport, commencing at 2 o'clock. The other senior game, between Y.M.C.A. and Ponsonby, will be decided at Victoria Park, commencing at 1.30. A match which is arousing great interest, both in New Zealand and Australia, is the meeting between the Australian and New Zealand schoolboy representatives. The game should result in an excellent exposition of the code. It will be played at Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon, and will bo preceded by two curtain-raisers. At 1.30 the Catholic school representatives will play the Public School representatives, and at 2.30 the. knock-out in the seventh division between Comrades and Y.M.C.A. will bo decided. The interprovincial schoolboys' Association football tournament for the Webster Shield was continued at Victoria Park yesterday afternoon, two matches being played.

In the first match, between Waikato and Manawatu, the former held the advantage in the opening stages, but failed to score. Manawatu improved later, and Telfer scored. Ward, the centre-forward of the Manawatu team, had the misfortune to sustain a fracture of the leg. and was removed to the Auckland Hospital. The game was fairly evenly-contested during the second spell. Waikato attacked, Marshall scoring, and just on the call of lime Adams added a further goal for Waikato, the final scores being: Waikato, 2; Manawatu. 1.

The chief attraction of the afternoon'was the meeting of Wellington and Auckland "Wellington kept Auckland on the defensive during the moat of the first spell. Ongley scoring. Auckland improved in the second half, and had the Wellington defence battling hard to prevent a score. After continued , pressure, Auckland was awarded a penalty kick, and Hoggett scored. The game was fast and interesting to the end, but there_ was no further scoring, the final scores being: Wellington, 1; Auckland, 1. The_ final series of matches will be played at Victoria Park this morning. At 10 o'clock Auckland will meet Waikato. and at 11 o'clock Wellington will play Manawatu. -. SCHOOLBOY TEST TEAM. A final selection game will be played this afternoon at Blandford Park, after which the team to represent New Zealand against the Australian schoolboys' team tomorrow will be chosen.
