CRICKET.
THE ELLERSLIE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Ellerslie Cricket Club was held last evening. Mr. O. Slye presidiwg. The annual report stated that last season was the moat successful since the club was formed. The senior A_ team won the Auckland Suburban Association championship, and the senior B team tied for first place in its section. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 2s Cd. The surplus of assets over liabilities was £29.
The following officers were elected :—Patrons, Sir Frederic Lang and Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.; president, Mr. J. H. Clayton; vice-presidents, BPlne as last year; chairman of committee, Mr. O. Siye; secretary, Mr. W, A. Cowan; treasurer, Mr. A. Hollia; committee, Messrs. Gcdye, Miskell. Baxter, Stanley, Lawrence, Keesing and Punnell; delegate to Suburban Cricket Association. Mr. A. Stanley. Several tropliies were promised for competition during tlie coming season, including a cup donated by Mr. \V. J. Jordan, M.P. Several new members were elected.
