DISQUALIFIED FOR LIFE.
CHARGE AGAINST J. NOHRA. FINDING IN MOORLAND CASE. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. A meeting of the Canterbury District Racing Committee was held yesterday to take further evidence in the ca?s of Joseph Nohra, of Reefton, who was alleged to have tampered with D. E. Cotton, a jockey, and R. McLellan," who was in charge of the horse Moorland on the West Coast during last Christmas and New Year meetings. The committee found nothing to shake the evidence of McJjelian and Cotton thfSt tiiey were approached by Joseph Nohra to mill Moorland, nor was there any evidence to implicate McLellan and Cotton as having been parties to any fraudulent intention. The committee, therefore, unanimously found Nolira. guilty of corrupt practice and disqualified him for life.
