POSSESSION OF A HORSE.
TERMS OF A PURCHASE. PLAINTIFF'S SUCCESSFUL CLAIM. [BY TELEGBAFH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE AROHA, Thursday. A claim to recover from Sidney Kay and Jane Kay a horse which he alleged had been wrongfully removed from his property last June was made in the Magistrate's Court at. Te Aroha to-day by Claude Ailwin Palmer (Mr. N. S. Johnson). Kay said he had bought the horse in Palmer's name, but paid for it himself. The purchase price, £22 10s, was to be taken out by him in stock grazing. Plaintiff said he had grazed 63 of defendants' animals for three months and had received ,no payment. Defendant denied this.
The magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff for possession of the animal and £2 10s damages.
