HOLDING TO LICENCES. BROKERS AND BUYERS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— SPECIAL REPORTER.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Kauri Gum Industry Amendment Bill, which has been introduced in the House of Representatives by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Hon. A. D. McLeod, seeks to prohibit the holding by the same person ot a gum-broker's licence and a gum-buyers' licence. Persons at present in possession of both licences will be permitted to use them until the expiration of the period for which they ars granted. Commissioners of Crown lands are to issue digging licences, while brokers and buyers' licences are in future to be issued by the Kauri Gum Control Board.
