Mr. C. F. Taylor, of Ohio, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Caldwell, of Cambridge, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. T. - Denning, of Sydney, and Mr. Mervyn Wells, of' Cambridge, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. N. Gurr, of Rolorua, Mr. R. G. Hosking, of Whangarei, and Mr. W. J. Morgan, of Cambridge, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. R. J. S. Gray, who was for some years chairman of the Hamilton branch of the St. John Ambulance Association, has removed to Auckland. Senator G. D. Goff, of Washington, a member of the United States Senate, and Mrs. Goff. arrived from Wellington yesterday and are at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. A. J. Best, of Wellington, Mr. R. G. Tulloch, of Christchurch, Mr. A. J. Papos, o? New Plymouth, Mr. A. Galpin, of Marton, Mr. L. Barren, of Kohukohu, and Mr. A. C. Gelland, of Huntly, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. John Hislop, deputy-mayor of Devonport, has been appointed to nil the vacancy ori the Auckland Harbour Board caused by the death of Mr. John Henderson. Mr. Hislop was nominated as the representative of the North Shore boroughs, and the Minister of 'Marine has now approved thf appointment.
