AMALGAMATED DAIRIES.

DENIAL GIVEN REPORTS. STATEMENT BY MR. GOODFELLOW [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Thursday. A statement emanating from Dunedin that Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., had been formed to represent Tooley Street firms in New Zealand is emphatically denied by Mr. W. Goodfellow, originator of the new company. The formation of the company, said Mr. Goodfellow, was undertaken to provide a full marketing service for the co-opera-tive interests of the dairy industry on the cessation of the Dairy Produce Board's marketing effort. Agents in Tooley Street would be used in the marketing of the company's produce only in proportion to their efficiency. Amalgamated Dairies would be the principal throughout and it would retain a free hand. Mr. Goodfellow also denied that Mr. Dynes Fulton, director in the company, would be nominated by him to the Dairy Board. The nomination remained entirely in the hands of the Dairy Board. He considered the statement had been "inspired" to misrepresent the position.
