Thursday Suggestions for (he utilisation of , a large area of ground adjoining the Waikato River at Hamilton East, known as Hoye's Paddock, wore contained in a letter from the Hamilton East Citizens' Association, received by the Hamilton Borough Council at its meeting last even ing. It was urged that the area, which was now abandoned to the growth of noxious weeds, should bo utilised as a sports ground, conducted on community lines. It was further suggested that a swing bridge should be erected across the river in order that the ground would be available to residents on both sides.
